The day started out EARLY! haha the first day of chinese new year fell on a Sunday this year and so we went to church in the morning. Clothes all prepared the night before, i just cleaned up, grabbed it off the place i had left it all pressed and waiting to be worn. :) So since we had a bit of extra time, decided to snap a pic wif my sis. This is really bad pic, but it's the only one we took before we flew to Church. Ignore my sis, she looks dead... She looked smashing, like i said, ignore the pic.
My Attire for 1st day - Topshop smashing stripe shirt, maroon tie [coz i was ushering in church], black pants and classy black shoes. Very professional and stylish looking.

So church was good. congregation was surprisingly moderate... normal attendance is 180... today's crowd was 150... not bad coz we were all expecting less coz it's CNY.... but yeh, anyhowz.... the message was about wishing each other peace and how the peace of God is different from the peace the world tries to give us. i thot i was super fitting and apt to a situation that came to my attention that day. Coz Angel messaged me in the morning requesting for prayer coz she might have to be forced to go to the temple today and stuff... and yeh la. she anyhow flip the Bible that morning and it came upon a verse.. 1 Corinthians 10:27... it's about eating food offered to idols la. And we both believe God flipped her to that verse for a reason and it was like, SO apt for that day la. So yeh, she asked me what it was all bout and stuff.. and i got back home, called her and explained the verse plus the whole day's sermon to her coz i thot it was really cool that God spoke to me thru it and her thru me. Hopefully. haha... Anyhows, i'm rambling.
So after church, we bai-nian-ed to parents.. Sister went first

it was cool coz this year was a bit diff... for me that is.. there was no awkwardness in doing it or what la.. maybe it's poly so i kinda know wad to say if i had to say anything in chinese... but i think God also instilled upon me a message to bring to my parents... and it all revolved around Peace. :) Thank God for giving me a mature mind to offer my parents with my meer humble words of glad tidings and wishes. :) Really felt quite mature after it. dun ask how one feels mature. i jus did. haha

Then we went to my grandma's place to visit my grandma [my only grandparent] and cousins were there and all la. so for some WEIRD reason, this year we jus took pics and pics and pics. ahaha. So here's a group shot of my cousins and auntie. From left; Jia Hui, Jia Yi, Auntie Linda [she gets nice clothes for me. coz she works at a warehouse for some branded american brand... like Sean Jean. so she always gets free clothes. mwacks! haha], Sister [not looking so dead], and me... the thorn amongst the roses.

Sab and i decided to salvage a bad CNY shot of us [see above] and took this pic. :) Not a bad pic but i think my face looks dumb. haha.... but nvm, it always does. Realized that i'm quite tall.. always have to bend down a bit when i take pics wif family... coz most of them are quite ummm not too tall la.. yeh, In both pics, i'm bending down quite a lot and that makes me have this awkward expression on my face. hahah [plus there's the same pic, but editted... haha i decided to add some cool effects. hope you like it. i do. haha]

This is a pic of my lovely Auntie Wendy... She got some money coz of some stocks she was playing and said that maybe she'll buy me a new phone!!! hahah wow. best news i've heard since the start of the day [minus out the Peace sermon by Leonard]... haha... funky. we'll see what happens haha.. :) apologies again for my bad posture... already explained above.

Then we proceeded to my Cousin Nancy's house... here's a pic of my dad's sister [Auntie Ai Choo] and all the noisy kids... they're all kids of my cousins... hmm let me try to systematically name them... Ok, going clockwise from Auntie Ai Choo; Regina, Lydia, Gordon, Gregory and Melanie in the background in her cute chinese chiong sam... Regina, Gregory and Melianie are siblings. Lydia and Gordon are siblings.

Parents enjoying a short relaxing time of drinking some dessert that really tasted gross.. but supposed to be cooling. You know chinese stuff, always tastes like crap but supposed to promise THIS AND THAT for your health. haha

After that, we headed back to my grandma's place for lunch. Which only was ready at like 5pm. So we all fell asleep waiting... well, sab was the first.. then i knocked out too. haha the adults were mahjonging... so i just slept. haha super late lunch. gosh. ahha
Last stop for the evening, Cousin Linda's place... that's cousin linda in the white top vertical stripes... Regina's her daughter by the way. ahha
Ok so, top row from left; Cousin Nancy, My Mum, Me, Cousin Janice
Bottom row from left; Sab, Regina, Cousin Linda, Auntie Ai Choo. Btw, Auntie Ai Choo is my dad's sister right.. she's the mother of Cousin Nancy, Cousin Linda and Cousin Janice's Husband. You'll see him later.

Sab and i got bored.. dun ask. haha that's a ba kwah in her mouth. :) Stupid siblings i suppose. haha

Yup, we were still bored. so took a "Kwah simi, Act Dao" pic. haha...

Look at the spread!!! my goodness. it felt like some palace dinner or sumthing. so many dishes can! haha madness i HAD to take a pic of it. lolz.

This is everyone before dinner. ok, spot the lady in pink. my mum.. we'll start there.
Clockwise from mum; Dad, Auntie Ai Choo, Cousin Nancy, Cousin Janice, Cousin Louis [Husband of Janice], Cousin Daniel [Husband of Linda], Cousin Linda, Auntie Cat, Cousin Jacky, Sab, Me

Yup, the evening ended with just a real slow and boring night... watched them play mahjong and died to go home coz i was tired, sleepy and bored. haha... but yeh, it was a fun first day... got home, soooo tired showered and plonked on the bed after hair dried. gosh. ahha tiring.
Yup, today's the second day and it's quite relaxing... got the same people coming to our house for lunch, then back to their place for dinner with some of their frens.. yeh so might not have too many pics but yeh, keep refreshing! haha... Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Xin Nian Ping An!!!
