Things that have happened since...
1. My 24th birthday.
Close frens surprised me after i came back from OCF, they toilet papered my whole room. pics are on facebook... but that was shocking. :) and yet really warm... it made me so thankful to God that i've got a close bunch of frens here...
2. Hannah and My one year anniversary.
God has given us a brilliant 1 year of many Ups and a few Downs... and I'm just amazed to see how God has helped us thru many things and I believe with all my heart that if we weren't both Christians, we would have had a very different outcome. I think God is moulding BOTH of us to become more Christ-like and more loving to each other as we also juggle that with our own individuality and other commitments.
3. Completed a 21 day fast with my church. I picked Secular music and FACEBOOK to fast from. I'm glad to say that I didn't break my facebook fast except Once... to confirm my attendance to some Employment Workshop that was publicised through facebook. Thankfully Davin alerted me to the rsvp and i signed on to click "Am Attending" and logged off straight away. :)
4. Went to a few career things this few weeks and have a better idea of the immense stress it is to get a job either here or in Singapore. It's really scary coz this IS my last semester of uni life as I know it.
5. Secured/Was given a part time job by the Lord working at a SHOP at Victoria Market that deals with telecommunications... Handphones, handphone accessories and computer stuff. My title is "Telecommunications Officer" and i basically just clean up, clear up, price tag stuff... I wanna thank God coz the ad said $13-$17 per hour based on age grp and after going through a 1hr trial period with the boss [which he paid me for too] I'm getting $20 an hour working 3 mornings of the week. That's just WONDERFUL coz it gets me jus shy of $300 a week. that's wonderful. :) Thank God and i've got this job [if nothing goes wrong] till Dec. :) Praise the Lord.
6. Semester is going good. thankfully coz i was originally worried that with Industry Project and with a real client and all, i might not enjoy it... but it's turning out quite interesting. :) Struggling through my core module [which i was supposed to take in year 1] Quantitative Methods... sigh. :)
Recently, an old friend of mine popped me a hi and it's been great catching up with her. From my SingTel days... interesting to see how God puts different people in your life unexpectedly to remind you to count your blessings and see what an impact u've made in others and what impact u can make in others in the future. :)
Thanks be to God, He's been really my strength and provider this past few weeks.
