So today was an interesting day... It's a friday and i felt quite free coz i was sick on thurs and finally got better today. :) It started real bad though. i was late to meet percy in school. I tell you, i waited half an hour for the bus [i'm not kidding]... then the bus took super long to get to the bus stop i alight at. The road we were travelling on had to be stopped off for a while coz they were cutting trees. so the bus load of people jus stood in the bus staring at these indian workers cut the tree... haha then the branches slumped to the floor and the bus was on its way again. super long la. half an hour ride which was supposed to be 10 minutes MAX...

Anyhows, went to sch and handed up my SIP Report. Then i took my long ride to ChinaTown MRT. :) Decided since i was so free today and i had time, i thot maybe go visit Angel la.. haah but i left the sch a bit late coz i was helping, or trying to help, You Rong with his report... sigh. anyhows... It was fun to surprise her [although the walk there was HOT HOT HOT coz of the darned sun]. Walked into Windows [her work place] and pretended to order sumthing. haha it was quite fun to see her reaction. heh. :) worth the trip. SURELY. :)
So since we were at a good time, she just got off work [i'd like to say i arranged the timing perfectly... but i had initially wanted to be there at 3pm.... 5 minutes late. sian. haha] and so we decided to hang, shop, drink coffee. haha... walked to coffee bean and got coffee... or well, drinks. haha but they were playing CHINESE NEW YEAR SONGS la. what a turn off. so we grabbed our drinks and walked from china town to city hall. walked to the National Library... managed to return my book and picked up a new one. SO HAPPY CAN! haha... took a pic of this decoration there.. it's like cloth hanging from the ceiling. Took a pic and told Angel how it reminded me of those parasitic fish that stick themselves to the bottom of the shark and eat stuff the shark misses... yeh. haha quite nice decor anyhoo... [imagine it blowing in the wind]

Yeh, so after we hung for a long time, went to Tecman and all... [which was a total blast coz company wif Angel always is a blast. ahha] Went to meet up wif Sab and Ivan for Shopping and dinner!!! haha... went to try out a few tops at many shops... took a few shots... this one is from FCUK.... thot it was quite stylish... it's quite a deep purple.. the shade is called Moonlight. :) Cost ummm $89 i think...

Popped into CK and picked up this shirt off the rack... it had a cool collar that wasn't the same as normal collars... it's like a preacher... father reverand... haha... but it was a bit funny cut la. so didn't buy it... pls i didn't know when i would wear it so didn't buy.. Ang Bao Madness!!! Our latest YF Activity to commemorate CNY and integrate Christian Values and Biblical Principles into the festive season. It was SUCH a fun activity la.. i had a blast. :) Will be posting up more images as i get them. but this is jus a sneak preview.

We started the activity with prayer at 2.30pm and there were many youths that came. so encouraging... then we came together for some ice breakers.. we had to find our grps... we randomly drew slips of paper which had a chinese character on it. without talking or showing each other our papers, we were supposed to like, act out our word... i was like WAD?!? and i got the word Fu.. you know.. the one they always "fan dao" on decorations coz it's supposed to signify prosperity falling down from heaven... yeh so i took my slip of paper and went up to the first person i saw... Qiang.. and he tried to make a money sign.. so i thot maybe his was like "qian"... money... so i moved on to Alicia pua and i took my paper, put it into a diamond shape and turned it upside down. she immediately read my mind and we were the first to grp together... from then on, we jus kept flipping our paper to get the rest of the grp. haha it was super fun.
Then after that, we grouped up and had to come up wif our own 4 character chinese cheng yu... i was like. wat... hahaha my grp was alicia P, Priscilla, Seraphina, Debz, Jenies, Qiang and me... and we were like. oh man. aha qiang kept embarrassing himself wif wrong chinese words... haha thankfully my 3 years of poly did some good and i came up wif the cheng yu... we changed the "shen ti jian kang" to "shen di tian shang" which is like, "God, Earth, Heaven, Appreciate" so we crapped our way into saying it's like we should appreciate God's creation. HAHAHA..s o funny.

Then it was my turn to lead the activity. so i came up and told them to close their eyes and we teleported back to ancient china.. into the southern province of china... where there lived a great Emperor... Shu Lun Huang Shang [a.k.a Aaron]... and he talked in a very good chinese accent from a script i prepared for them... so the YAFers acted out a scene about how the Emperor needed them to do an art piece and stuff.. so after the super entertaining skit, we started work. my grp "FU" decided to do sumthing related to our cheng yu.. so we did the 6 days of creation. we were given stuff like straws, ang baos, glue, markers...
We did quite a good job and when we went to present our art piece, i used a chinese accent and started joking around.. about how our grp was "FU"ll of creativity.. and how Aaron was a wonder"FU"l emperor... and he replied that we should stop trying to "FU"ll him. haha it was a holler! :)

Yeh, then they judged and took pictures... then we talked bout how we should spend CNY wif our family and the bad stuff bout it... like gambling, strive for wealth and luck... and how as Christians we should respond to that. Debz gave a very good challenge to the YFers on how this time was a good time to be a testimony and to share our faith and beliefs. :) brilliant.

yup, then we moved downstairs for LOU HEI!!! yu sheng la. haha... yeh, it was a crazy time... we recited our cheng yus when we put the ingredients in, instead of chinese sayings of luck and prosperity. haha then the church theme, yf theme and vision and finally got lou-hei-ing and eating. ahha.. here's the pic b4 it got messy. haha..

overall it was a really good activity and i was so so so glad to see the Comm working so well together and bonded.. the yf was such [and still is] an encouragement to me. i hope this can continue on. :)

Today was TP's Open House Day 1. It was a funky start to the day... got the equipment setup at about 10 plus and by 11 we were all ready. Waiting for visitors to start walking in at the 12o'clock mark... they started streaming in and before we knew it, the place was packed with prospectful students. This shot shows us still unaware of the busy day we'll have. As you can see we're all colour coded... this year, IT got yellow and the shirts are quite queer... the collar like not really a collar.. it's like som chao ah beng thing. haha nvm... here it is.

Yup, here is it! the booth i spent the whole day in. Promoting the newest diploma that IT has to offer.. The diploma in Game and Entertainment Technology. It's a diploma that basically handles how to develop and programme games... Funky! haha i'm 3 years too late i suppose.. or too early. hmm haha... Yeh, so i had to run my mouth about how great this course is and waste saliva on groups after groups of people while they came to find out more about the course... Although i was supposed to have help at the booth, help was really lacking today. Very disappointing coz we're working our asses off while the others are "eating snack" or mucking around. It's really irritating when we just dun get a break. But never mind, this isn't a ranting blog. :) It was fun nonetheless talking to all the visitors today. :) it always is a learning experience and i pity those who dun use the opportunity they have now to learn. sigh. :P

In the background, you can see standup posters that EA Games were kind enuf to sponser us with for these few days to attract attention to our diploma... They loaned it to us can. haha so cool. Coz they're tieing up wif the school to work some kinda deal out wif this new diploma. Funkay!

It was quite fun when the event kicked off. Even the lecturers we knew started getting the vibe of things and relaxed. This is a lecturer who taught us last year.. he was jus having some fun on the treadmill used to demo a project. Shant say anything bad about him coz blogging about it is scary.. but yeh, he was quite relaxed today so it was quite funny. Even posed for the shot. haha...
Yup, so that wraps up the day for day one of open house. :) It was fun but awfully tiring. That's why i came straight home, showered and gonna sleep now... and it's 10pm. who sleeps at 10pm! goodness. hahah but i'm tired. haha. Already burnt my sleep music. :) Added Norah Jones to that list coz she's jus sooo smooth. I want a girl fren who can sing me to sleep like she does... gosh her voice is jus... heaven.

She's here!!! she's here!!!! Janelle Lee Yi Xuan has arrived at 8.03am on the 19th of January 2006!!!! HAHA.. the Baby i've been waiting for since Angeline told us that she's pregnant.. sigh... i'm so so so glad.. been praying everyday for her. made it a point to pray at least twice a day, when i wake and before i sleep. so glad that she's finally here...

Gosh. Thank God so much for the safety and wellbeing of both mother and child... can't wait to see Angeline and congratulate her in person. but i fear my schedule doesn't allow for it... i think my only free day to go this week would be Sunday... then it'll be next week liao. wahhh i wanna see Angeline!!!! sniff sniff... nvm nvm. i'll have to make do.

Just so glad. this is an OVERLY happy post... coz i'm OVERLY happy... sigh... thank God for the joy of a new life... seriously..

Woo Hoo! First post of the new year! haha... sorry for not updating in a while.. haven't been takin photos for a while now. sorry bout that. :) Anyways, today was a fun fun day. It was a public holiday and originally had planned to meet Ian for lunch. then that guy... yes you if you're reading you doo doo head.... cancelled on me to go out wif his Girl for the day. And you know me, never one to get in between dorrain and him... so i was glad he cancelled on me to spend time wif her.. i mean, that's what best frens are for rite? to cancel on when the girl fren comes complaining about spending time wif her. HAHA... dorrain would kill me if she read this. :)

Anyways, woke at 11am today coz i knew i had to clear the CHRISTmas decorations from the house since mother told me to do so... So i woke and went down to clear the decor when mum came home... it was quite fun coz we kept the prickly tree and took off the ornaments and stuff... these are 2 pics i took after i took the ornaments off... had them all hooked on 2 fingers till my hand was like, covered in the balls... it looks so funny.... like my hand became this hand of doom... punch ya in the face and you'll be bruised all over. haha The Fist of Doom. LOLZ

Yeh... so then after i cleared the Christmas decor, mother thot why not use the time to put up the Chinese New Year Decor.. hahaha so we took them out and started decorating the place.... It used to look like this, but now it looks like the one with the red stuff... the right pic.

hahaYeh, then after that, ate lunch and left home for City Hall. Went to meet my fren Angel [nice name rite?] We both needed company to chill the public holiday away. Went to Marina South to draw cash coz we both didn't have enuf for Coffee. hahah.. had Rocky Road from Pacific coffee... NICE LA.. small marshmellow bits inside that's real nice... spent a whole lot of time there.. talkin bout loads of stuff. haha Cleared 2 sessions there huh Angel? haha... yeh then we headed to Esplanade but got no outdoor performances... sad case can... ended up at good ol' Subway for good ol' Cold Cut Trio! ahaha... wonderful meal that always ranks as my number 1 choice when i'm in City Hall. :) I Love Subway!
Chilled the night away just talking and talking. It was a reallll reallll blast. Had a wonderful time and so did she. RIGHT ANGEL!??!?! *whacks fist to palm* hahaha. jus kidding... i dunno, it was fun. the drizzle at the end was actually quite nice too.. on the way out of City Hall.. though yes it was cold. haha.. apologies... couldn't help there. i dun control the weather, though we know who could calm the storm. :) [Matthew 8:27, Mark 4:41, Luke 8:25] :) Just for reference.

On the way out, i came across this small sign at the bottom of a shop... or well, it was a clinic i suppose. ahha it was like GLOWING la.. so cool... and duh, i find it cool coz it's my name. ahhaha.. but it was like. woah. hahah btw, the "I'm a Doctor? Since When?" was added in by me... it was OBVIOUSLY not on the glass... ahhaha But it was quite cool la. haha i was a bit shocked for a while. ahaha...





Overall, the day was a SUPERB fun day that was SOOOO MUCH better than bumming at home doing nuthing. :) So i had a blast from waking to now. :) Public Holidays should be like this all the time. ahaha... sigh. Yuppers, going to sleep now coz there's school tomolo. yay. ahhaha.. could be my 2nd last week. so sad. but cool i guess.

I got a new computer! whee! after the old one died... ummm that was really long ago.. like half a year? i can't remember... anyways, i've been living without a com for the longest time waiting for a good deal and everything. Finally got the deal Starhub offered... the total cost of the cool com came up to $400. :) It's a good deal for an ok and not too bad Pc. :) i'm happy... and of course since this is a photo blog, here they are.... [please excuse the bad lighting and colour. the new com has none of my software so i had to use primitive tools to brighten it up... namely WORD and Paint. gee hahaha]


there you have it people, my new computer in all it's glory... :)
Compaq Presario Pentium 4 3.06Ghz... It's got 160GB of space and 512Ram... came with a 17" screen, free compaq keyboard and mouse and speakers [but i'm using my own speakers coz i have a subwoofer, they don't] ahhaha... yuppers... the power button has a light below it that glows green... COOL. hahaha then the mouse is half transparent plastic so it glows red.. think bout that. picture this: dark room, green glow from the cpu, red glow from the mouse and a white glow from the screen. FUN-KEY! hahaha... yuppers.

So after I blogged last nite, i went to meet my family for Sab's Birthday dinner. We were originally going to Jack's Place at Parkway... but in the end we changed plans when they picked me and we went to Marche in the end! haha.. cool stuff. Here are picks wif comments so you know wad you're looking at.
This is Really nice pasta.. Herb pasta la... so the [i think it's spinach] went down pretty nicely. I'm not a vege person but yet i found this dish really tasty and nice. The taste is just a hint and so it tickles your mind and tastebuds wondering what you might get in the next spoon, more or less of the pasta taste. NICE... i think it was umm $14... not sure.

This is smoked Salmon that was alrite only la... my family thought it wasn't really worth the price... $13 i think. can't remember... but it was alrite only la... the Salmon was good, but it's just moderately nice... Don't bank on this dish if you're gonna boast Marche to a friend. :)

This is my all time favourite... Rosti. This particular dish is Swiss Rosti with Cheese Sausage... Came up to a whopping $9... that's why i only treat myself to this expensive dish once in a while... The sour cream is brilliant as it compliments the potato slices really well. Mouth watering and delicious, a must eat if you go to Marche. I'm already drooling!

DESSERT! haha... We were wondering whether we should do crepe or waffles.. but since we already did eat a black pepper chicken and cheese crepe [sorry, no pic of that], we went with waffles. This my friends is a Banana and ice cream waffle. The ice cream we chose was Cinnamon and plum... and come on, which singaporean wouldn't drown their waffles in the free toppings? So courtesy of Kiasu Sab, we had nuts, chocolate shavings and Cinnamon sugar drenching the ice cream and waffle. It went down nice and closed the evening really well. :) $9 dessert.. ouch. haha

Overall, it came up to $68 but there was discount coz we used umm mastercard i think and so bill came to $60.. that works out to $15 a person, real reasonable for the variety we had... [we also had sashimi but no pics of that coz it was gobbled so fast].
After Marche, we headed to Balaclava so Sab and Dad could visit their friends there... Dad's friends were a holler, prob the loudest group there. They were sitting on the outside of Bala and so we could stand there without having to go into Bala since the age cap was 23. Drank a sip of their whiskey after being coxed into turning to the dark side by Dad's frens... ahha it wasn't too bad.. but i guess i can't really appreciate alcohol yet... Nonetheless, it was cool coz i really did wanna try the alcohol...

Yup, that kinda closed the night. :)

So here i am at 2.56am on Christmas morning blogging. Haha, jus had a wild crazy time on Christmas eve! The day started out bad... but let's not blog bout that shall we? heh

Had to go to church at 3pm for Choir practice and the dinner started at 6... after that, it was Christmas Eve presentation till late. This year, August, Hensley, Auntie Yuet Ling and Auntie Linda were leading the event. There were 4 chairs put up in front of the Pulpit and it was really nicely done... they wore white and khaki combi which is always a sure winner. Here you can see the chairs.





Yup, church was packed can! there were so many people.haha.. After that, we all decided to head down to the Airport for some coffee. The pacific coffee place we wanted to go to was quite the packed and so we bought our drinks and went to the viewing gallery and sang songs till like 1plus. haha





Yup, then we jus sang the night away la. Sean the man Teng was jus wild with his Retro songs and all. haha it was really nice just singing songs out of the blue with him and others. Wish i could just sing and sing and sing. hahaha. it was nice gettin my mind off what was buggin me during the morning. I'd say that it was a smashing Christmas Eve despite the morning. And now it's Christmas! whee! got service tomolo... presenting summore. sigh how it'll all go well. haha so i'm headed off to bed now... to catch like less than 5 hours of sleep. NIGHT people and Blessed Christmas to one and all. The reason for the season is the Lord Jesus Christ, the infant messiah!

So... today i managed to sneak some time to go wif mum, sis and aunty wendy... Picked me up from sch and we zoomed off in our umm nissan sunny.. -_-; to Ikea....

When we reached there, there was like a long queue for this nationwide famous restaurant with swedish meatballs. anyhoo.. the food was quite expensive and there was the queue so we decided to go downstairs to enjoy HOTDOGS!!! Haha... picture this, 4 people, 6 hotdogs. yummy. haha then they had this dispenser thing that dispenses chili, mustard and tomato sauce... and it's like in this kinda UDDER looking thing. haha you squeeze the thing and the sauce comes out... here, take a look... it's like you're milking a "toppings" cow. haha It's udder-ly hilarious.

Yeh, so it was quite funny la... anyhowz, in the hotdog shop place... took 2 funny pics... one was of the next table.. you know those standing tables where they basically dun have seats... and so there's jus a leaning table top and at the bottom, there's a smaller table... this next table was jus the cutest la... the table was occupied by a family of 2 parents and a young kid and the kid was like under the table using the smaller table. hahah it's like a children's table below... you'll see what i mean...

haha so cute... oh oh, they had really nice ceiling lights... they're like halos... take a look. so nice. they sold for ummm $25 each i think. can't remember the cost.. or was it $55... hmm haha.. nice nonetheless...

Ikea rocks... trust me, if you've got the time, jus go down and have a look see... esp during Christmas.. the mood and atmosphere really inspires you... but go wif no cash so you won't be tempted to buy anything. hahaha coz i really wanted to buy stuff. thankfully i ain't got no cash. hahaha.. but got ideas from there though. nice nice ideas. :)

This is 3 hearts i folded in YF camp during the free time... was jus folding them. haha it was a fun camp.. managed to get to know Priscilla "ah bu bu" cheong and Lynn much better... coz other than camp time, we dun really get to meet the young ones that much so it was quite fun. Other than that, the camp theme song was sooo nice... gonna be using it the next time i lead worship.. whenever that is. :) here's the nice pic. of course it's nice, i took it. hahaha

It was a rainy day on the way to church.. pouring actually... was quite scary... considering my mother was driving a car that had the visibility of like... 1-2 metres? sigh. told her to go get the car windscreen coated wif that water resistant screen. hope she does, but knowing her...that could take a while... haha yeh so here's the nice pic... i photo editted it dun worry, the sky wasn't THAT blue. :) jus thot it would give the rain effect a nice look. i could be wrong.

So I went down to starbucks yesterday coz they were giving our free coffee due to the Christmas spirit.. they do this once a year, every year for a 2 hour timeslot... I just had to go down and get me a cuppa... haha So i went down to Tampines Mall, checked out the queue, freaked out for a bit and then jus joined the ranks of the flowing stream of people snaking around the outlet. Here are some pictures that might help you have an idea of what i went thru jus for my lovely coffee.... that i loved and still love so much. hhaha enjoy!

DUH. haha no la... i'll help ya at it... it basically says that you
are allowed 1 drink of your choice and it's on the house from 5-
7pm. And that Salvation Army is collecting donations if you wish
to donate to them.

And finally i manage to obtain my highly and anxiously
sought after Caramel Rhumba Frapp... wooo!!! haha i was so glad
to get it can! When i had my first sip it was heaven. haha Missed
it quite a bit. Was real glad i could have some coffee again. The
last time i had coffee was easily a month or two ago. oh my. haha
So yeh, it was all worth it. :) Glad i had my coffee... free summore.

Yeh so it was fun, fulfilling and fruitful trip to starbucks... here
are some other random shots that i took recently... the blue
coloured one is a nice effect that the chapel had. all the lights
were off save the projector blue light giving the room an eerie yet
mysterious feeling. It was too nice to miss but as always, the
camera can't capture what the eye can...

Some other shots are self explanatory so till the next time i go

YAY! new blog template! haha worked on it for about 1-2 hours put together. heh.. love this pic.. and it's SO me now la... going around snapping at totally nonsensical stuff and making it beautiful... so if i take a pic of you, that doesn't mean you're not beautiful to start with... coz there has to be sumthing there to catch my eye in the first place. hahhaa..

yeh, will be changing template again when i feel like it. looks quite cool la coz i've got quite a number of cool backgrounds to play with. hehe.. enjoy!!! oh, realized that with the new template there are good and bad points..

Good:
Now the post has more room to be scrolled so more can be displayed at one time
Tag board is fully functional... took away that lame excuse of a popup tagboard. haha

Bad:
The older posts are all messed up with the paragraphing... so i apologize.
